Desch Plantpak awarded Best Managed Company 2021-2022
Waalwijk – May 12, 2022 the winners of the Best Managed Companies-program of Deloitte were announced. Desch Plantpak is one of the winners and one of the best managed companies in the Netherlands.
Deloitte assesses the strategy, operations and culture, the degree of innovation and the financial results of the participating companies. This year, for the first time, participating companies were also evaluated on the extent to which sustainability was incorporated into their business operations.
Jan Willem Wieringa, CEO Desch Plantpak: “We are obviously extremely proud, and consider this a pat on the back of all our employees. The last 2 years have been intense; corona, raw material availability issues, enormous cost increase of raw material, energy etc. We are investing in faster and more energy efficient machines; in April and May, 2 machines have been added. Again, we are proud, but also realistic; there is always room for improvement to become even better in the future!”
About the Best Managed Companies-program of Deloitte
Looking for the best managed companies within the Dutch medium-sized and large companies, Deloitte assesses the strategy, operations and culture, the degree of innovation and the financial results of the participating companies. Best practices were defined for each theme, on which participants at different levels in the organization were questioned by means of questionnaires. This was then zoomed in with each individual participant during an interactive session. The Best Managed Companies program focuses on Dutch companies that have a turnover of at least fifty million euros, have a leading (Tier 1) or innovative (disruptive) position in the relevant market segment or industry and have established their management in the Netherlands.
