Desch Plantpak is a newcomer to the list of top 100 manufacturers in the Netherlands (Maak Industrie Nederland) announced in early December by MT MediaGroep (Management Team). The manufacturing industry is important for the Dutch economy. MT thinks that it’s about time we were a bit prouder of our manufacturers. MT intends to promote knowledge sharing within and about the sector via the 'Made in NL' platform, and offer manufacturers a stage where they can share their stories. The manufacturing industry is important for the Dutch economy. MT intends to promote knowledge sharing within and about the sector via the 'Made in NL' platform. The Maak100 is a list, compiled and published annually, of the best performing manufacturing companies in the Netherlands with a turnover of up to 500 million euros. The Maak100 list, which is drawn up by MT and CFI (Corporate Finance International), is based on the financial performance of manufacturers. Fairness is ensured by analysing the annual reports deposited in the year prior to the publication date of the list. MT and CFI assess companies in terms of four criteria: turnover in 2018, turnover growth 2014-2018, average EBIT 2014-2018, and average ROIC 2014-2018.

The companies in this edition of the Maakindustrie100 together account for a turnover of € 13.4 billion in 2018, which represents 2% of GDP in the Netherlands in the same period.
